Neck Mass / Swelling

Neck Mass or Swelling is most commonly due to enlarge lymph nodes, which might be due to infection, tuberculosis or metastasis from cancer in oral cavity or other body parts. Other causes of neck swelling are Lipoma, submandibular gland enlargement, dermoid cyst, sebaceous cyst, thyroglossal cyst and thyroid swelling. So any neck mass of more than three weeks duration needs to be evaluated and treated accordingly.
